Armenia’s domestic trade turnover in the first seven months of 2016 dropped by 0.4% year-on-year to about 1.174 trillion drams, according to the National Statistical Service (NSS).

YEREVAN, September 5. /ARKA/. Armenia’s domestic trade turnover in the first seven months of 2016 dropped by 0.4% year-on-year to about 1.174 trillion drams, according to the National Statistical Service (NSS).
According to statistics, retail trade, which was down by 4.6% from the first seven months of 2015, accounted for about 55.7% or 653.7 billion drams of the total domestic trade. As for wholesale trade turnover, it grew by 4.8% to 40.6%, or about 476.4 billion drams of total domestic trade.
According to NSS, 76% or 496.7 billion drams of the retail trade was contributed by stores and supermarkets, while consumer goods markets accounted for more than 41.5 billion drams or 6.4% of total retail trade. ($ 1 - 474.78 drams). -0-
