Armenian economic activity was 7.2% in January-December 2012, compared with the same period of 2011, the country’s National Statistical Service reported based on the preliminary information.

YEREVAN, January 25. /ARKA/. Armenian economic activity was 7.2% in January-December 2012, compared with the same period of 2011, the country’s National Statistical Service reported based on the preliminary information.
Consumer prices rose by 2.6% over 2012 against 2011, according to the report. Industrial prices grew by 7% in the reporting period.
Industrial output amounted to 1,120.4bln drams in the period, an increase of 8.8% against 2011.
Armenia’s foreign trade turnover was about $5.7bln as of the end of 2012, which is a 3.9% increase compared to the year before.
Under the government budget, Armenia’s GDP growth was planned to reach 4.2% in 2012. ($1=405.15drams). -0-
