Armenia’s economic activity surged 7.7% in January-June 2012 from the same period a year earlier, according to the National Statistical Service.

YEREVAN, August 21. /ARKA/. Armenia’s economic activity surged 7.7% in January-June 2012 from the same period a year earlier, according to the National Statistical Service.
Economic activity rose 10.3% in July from June.
Inflation reported 2.3% in July from a year earlier, prices for industrial production increased 9.8% within the reported period.
In July 2012 the industrial production valued at total 93.8 billion drams, 16 % higher from a year earlier.
Foreign trade turnover in Armenia upped 6.5% to $436.2 million in July 2012 from last year.
Armenia’s GDP growth is projected at 4.2% in the state budget. -0-
