Armenia’s economic activity ups 2.7% in Jan-May 2015

Armenia's economic activity indicator rose 2.7% in Jan-May 2015, compared with the same period a year earlier, the National Statistical Service of Armenia reports.

YEREVAN, June 22. /ARKA/. Armenia's economic activity indicator rose 2.7% in Jan-May 2015, compared with the same period a year earlier, the National Statistical Service of Armenia reports.
Consumer prices went 5% up in Jan-May 2015, compared with the same period a year before, and prices for industrial goods rose 3.4%.
Industry's output amounted to AMD 499.7 billion in Jan-May 2015, and this is 4.5% more than in Jan-May 2014.
According to the statistical report, agricultural sector accounted for the output amounting to about AMD 174 billion and a 6% year-on-year growth, and the construction sector for AMD 97.4 billion and 0.4% respectively.
Armenia's domestic trade fell 8.6% to AMD 778.5 billion, and services rose 3.8% to AMD 435.3 billion.
The country's foreign trade shrank 32.3% to $558.9 million. In the government budget for 2015, GDP growth is projected at 4.1%. –0--
