Armenia's gross production in agriculture, forestry and fish farming grows to 108.1 billion drams

YEREVAN, May 8. /ARKA/. The volume of goods produced in January-March 2022 by Armenia’s agriculture, forestry and fish farming sectors amounted to over 108.1 billion drams in current prices, having increased by 0.8% compared to the same period of 2022, according to the National Statistical Committee (NSC).
It said the agricultural output rose by 1.4% to 88.7 billion drams with livestock sector amounting to 76 4 billion drams, having decreased by 3.5%.
Also, some 14,700 tons of livestock and poultry were slaughtered (5.2% decrease). Milk production fell by 5.1% to 127,600 tons and egg production dropped by 3.7% to 127,600 million pieces.
The volume of crop production in the first three months amounted to 12 billion lion drams, an increase of 44.1%.
In forestry, gross output fell by 3.6% to 415.7 million drams (down 3.6%) and the fisheries' output dropped by 2% to about 19 billion drams . ($1 - 386.35 drams) -0-.
