Armenia's industrial output in the first nine months of 2023 amounted to over 1.8 trillion drams in current prices, down 0.6% compared to the same months of 2022, according to the National Statistical Committee (NSC).

YEREVAN, November 7. /ARKA/. Armenia's industrial output in the first nine months of 2023 amounted to over 1.8 trillion drams in current prices, down 0.6% compared to the same months of 2022, according to the National Statistical Committee (NSC).

The industrial output in September alone amounted to about 227.6 billion drams, down 4.3% from September 2022 and down 1.5% from August 2023.

The mining sector accounted for over 357.2 billion drams, 4.5% decrease compared to the same period in 2022. The processing industry’s output fell by 0.4% yoy to over 1.2 trillion drams.

Electricity, natural gas, steam and purified air supplies amounted to about 235. 5 billion drams, 4.2% growth against the same time span in 2022, while water supply, sewerage, waste management and recycling grew by almost 5.6% to over 22.2 billion drams.

The processing industry accounted for 66.6% of the total output. The mining sector’s share was about 20%, that of electricity, natural gas, steam and purified air – 12.8% and that of water supply, sewerage, waste management and recycling – 1.2%. ($1 - 402.34 drams). -0-

Central Bank of Armenia left refinancing rate unchanged at 6.75%
