Jewelry production output amounted to 4,959.1 million drams in Armenia in January-May, a reduction of 36.4% compared to the same period of 2013, ArmStat reported.

YEREVAN, July 8. / ARKA /. Jewelry production output amounted to 4,959.1 million drams in Armenia in January-May, a reduction of 36.4% compared to the same period of 2013, ArmStat reported.
A total of 513.1 kilograms of jewelry was produced in the period as compared to 515.6 kilograms in January-May 2013 (0.5% reduction).
Diamond production output was 25,966 carats, a 34.4% decrease.
Exports of precious and semi-precious stones, precious metals and products from them totaled about $92.7 million (25% increase) in January-May; imports were $136.6 million (41% increase). ($1- 407.8 drams). --0-
