Armenia’s ministry of agriculture pins its hopes on cooperation with Rostselmash

Armenian ministry of agriculture have high expectations of cooperation with Russian Rostselmash, head of the ministry Sergo Karapetyan said at his meeting with Russia’s ambassador to Armenia Ivan Volinkin Friday.

YEREVAN, August 5. /ARKA/. Armenian ministry of agriculture have high expectations of cooperation with Russian Rostselmash, head of the ministry Sergo Karapetyan said at his meeting with Russia’s ambassador to Armenia Ivan Volinkin Friday.
“We expect a lot from cooperation with Rostselmash in terms of refitting our agricultural equipment”, Karapetyan said as quoted by the ministry press office.
The minister also said the two countries have had historical ties in agro sector.
Ambassador Volinkin, in his turn, said the Russian side is willing to contribute to introduction of agro insurance in Armenia.
As of January 1, 2013, there were 14,683 tractors and 1,362 combine harvesters in Armenia.
Over the last 25 years Rostselmash supplied about 1,000 classical type Niva harvesters and is planning to supply from 40 to 50 harvesters and other agricultural equipment to Armenia every year.–0--
