Armenia’s ministry of environment has taken steps to save an annual of about 11 million cubic meters of artesian water every year, head of the ministry Aramayis Grigoryan said after the first 100 days of his career as minister.

YEREVAN, August 12. /ARKA/. Armenia’s ministry of environment has taken steps to save an annual of about 11 million cubic meters of artesian water every year, head of the ministry Aramayis Grigoryan said after the first 100 days of his career as minister.
According to Grigoryan, the ministry has already closed down a number of major illegal artesian wells.
“Everybody knows fish farms are most commonly known dishonest users of artesian water”, the minister said. The government is following up the close-down of illegal wells, first of flowing wells, and has allocated 170 million drams for this, Grigoryan said. ($1=406.28drams). -0-
