Armenia's monetary stock reached about AMD 1 545.4 billion by late December 2013 after growing 5.1% over the month, the National Statistical Service reports referring to the central bank's figures.

YEREVAN, January 31. /ARKA/. Armenia's monetary stock reached about AMD 1 545.4 billion by late December 2013 after growing 5.1% over the month, the National Statistical Service reports referring to the central bank's figures.
Cash outside of the country's banks amounted to AMD 384.5 billion in December showing 9.1% growth, compared with November, and demand deposits totaled AMD 198.9 billion (5.5% month-on-month growth).
Time deposits in drams exceeded AMD 264.7 billion in December (9.6% month-on-month growth), and those in foreign currencies amounted to about AMD 697.3 billion (1.3% growth).
The money multiplier was 1.74 in late December against 1.97 in late November. ($1 – AMD 409.04).—0--
