Armenia's money stock shrank 3.6% in January 2015, compared with December 2014, to AMD 1 613.8 billion, the National Statistical Service reports referring to the central bank's preliminary figures.

YEREVAN, March 2. /ARKA/. Armenia's money stock shrank 3.6% in January 2015, compared with December 2014, to AMD 1 613.8 billion, the National Statistical Service reports referring to the central bank's preliminary figures.
Cash outside of the banking sector amounted to about AMD 306.4 billion in late January against about AMD 348.4 billion in late December, demand deposits in drams totaled AMD 170.3 billion against 182.9 billion and time deposits in drams AMD 283.9 billion against AMD 287 billion.
Deposits in foreign currencies totaled AMD 853.2 billion in late January against AMD 855.9 billion in late December.
The money multiplier reached 1.94 by late January after rising 0.05 points over the month. ($1- 478.76). --0------
