Armenia’s money supply dropped by 1.3% to 1,601.7 billion drams as of the end of March compared to February, ArmStat reported based on preliminary information from the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA).

YEREVAN, May 4. /ARKA/. Armenia’s money supply dropped by 1.3% to 1,601.7 billion drams as of the end of March compared to February, ArmStat reported based on preliminary information from the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA).
Cash outside the banking system amounted to about 296.5 billion drams as of the end of the reporting month, compared to approximately 302.8 billion drams at the end of February.
Call deposits (in drams) were 174.2 bln drams against about 175.3bln drams at the end of February.
Time deposits were about 286.1 billion drams in the reporting period against approximately 286.2bln drams at the end of February.
Deposits in foreign currency amounted to over 844.9bln drams (against 857.7 bln drams as of the end of February).
Money multiplier was 2.02 at the end of March, increase of 0.01 points compared to the month before. ($1=476.42drams). –0--
