Armenia’s overall public debt grew by 0.5% to $4.778.5 billion

Armenia’s total public debt at the end of September 2015 stood at $4.778.5 billion, a 0.5% rise from the previous month, according to the National Statistical Service. The total public debt increased by 7.5% from the beginning of the year.
YEREVAN, November 3. / ARKA /. Armenia’s total public debt at the end of September 2015 stood at $4.778.5 billion, a 0.5% rise from the previous month, according to the National Statistical Service. The total public debt increased by 7.5% from the beginning of the year.
According to the National Statistical Service, the country’s external debt at the end of August 2015 stood at $4.070.6 billion having increased by 0.05% from late August.
Of that amount about $3.593.3 billion was owed by the government, an increase of 0.075% from the previous month and $477.3 million was owed by the Central Bank, down 0.08%.
Armenia's domestic debt decreased by 3.3% to $707.8 million. Of that amount some $626 million was owed to residents buyers of government bonds.
The debt to buyers of USD denominated bonds was worth $77.7 million. Also $2 million were owed as loans and another $2 million as government guarantees.-0-
