Armenia’s public debt hit $4.205 billion as of 31 March 2013, deputy finance minister Atom Janjughazyan told reporters yesterday.

YEREVAN, April 30./ARKA/. Armenia’s public debt hit $4.205 billion as of 31 March 2013, deputy finance minister Atom Janjughazyan told reporters yesterday.
The government debt accounts for $3.660 billion and the debt of the Central Bank --$546 million. Foreign debt, according to him, amounts to $3.051 billion, domestic debt-$609 million.
Some 9.86 billion drams were allocated for interest payments in the first quarter of 2013, 7.32 billion drams- for bonds, 2.49 billion drams-foreign debt service. Janjughazyan highlighted outer sources paid off 11.51 billion drams in the first quarter.
Armenia’s public debt will have stood at $4.394 billion or about 42.9% of the GDP by the end of 2013.
Domestic debt will have valued at $667 million or nearly 6.5% of the GDP, foreign debt- $3.203 billion or 31.3% of GDP.
By the end of this year the interest payments will have stood at nearly $52 million, expected loans-$302 million, paid-off amount-$166 million.
National debt service will be $218 million. -0-
