YEREVAN, September 27. /ARKA/. A new wave of inflation is expected to trouble Armenia, Zhoghovurd reports.
According to the newspaper, a number of products will no longer have customs preferences.
This means 759 kinds of products imported from third countries will be formalized in accordance with the Eurasian Economic Union single tax rate.
The authors of the publication say the inflation will impact also primary necessity products – butter, sugar, coffee, meat, cocoa etc.
They say the authorities have already cared to curb things from worsening immediately – the adjustment to the common tax rates in the Eurasian Economic Union's space will be carried out throughout several years.
As a result, prices are going up, but everything has been done to make the inflation effect visible not immediately to people.
«If they don't want to pay higher prices, they have to buy products made in the Eurasian Economic Union countries, which are not as good as European goods in terms of quality,» they say. -0----
