About 13.8 billion drams will be allocated from the state budget of Armenia for programs on reconstruction, repair and construction of roads and transport facilities, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan said at a government meeting on Thursday.

YEREVAN, June 5. /ARKA/. About 13.8 billion drams will be allocated from the state budget of Armenia for programs on reconstruction, repair and construction of roads and transport facilities, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan said at a government meeting on Thursday.

According to him, the funds will be found through the redistribution of the state budget and will be used to provide technical and author supervision services, development of design and estimate documents, expert assessment services, as well as payments for completed projects.

As the minister noted, the planned total length of the roads to be reconstructed is 58 km, of which 16.1 km are interstate roads, 25 km are national roads, and 16.9 km are regional roads.

"It is planned to overhaul 2 bridges. A redistribution of 2.3 billion drams has also been made, which will be fully directed to financing medium repair works," Khudatyan said.

In turn, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that the funding will be directed to projects for the overhaul and reconstruction of a number of road sections in the Shirak, Syunik, Lori, Kotayk, Aragatsotn, Ararat, Gegharkunik and Tavush regions, as well as on the Meghri and Selim passes.
