Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced a bilateral business forum to be held in the near future at a meeting with his Japanese counterpart Shigeru Ishiba.

YEREVAN, September 4. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced a bilateral business forum to be held in the near future at a meeting with his Japanese counterpart Shigeru Ishiba.
As reported by the press service of the RA government, the meeting took place at the residence of the Japanese Prime Minister in Kantei.
In a conversation with Ishiba, the RA Prime Minister expressed confidence that the business forum will really contribute to the expansion of trade and economic ties and a significant increase in Japanese investments in Armenia.
Pashinyan also noted the importance of the cooperation between the two countries established in recent years in the areas of disaster prevention, human resource development, infrastructure, stimulation of small and medium-sized businesses and other areas. He highly appreciated Japan's involvement in Armenia's development and technical assistance programs.
Pashinyan congratulated his colleague on the successful holding of the World Expo 2025 in Osaka and thanked him for supporting Armenia's participation in it. The parties emphasized the importance of this platform as a unique opportunity to promote Armenian-Japanese cooperation.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the main areas of Armenia-Japan cooperation, namely, expanding economic and investment ties, deepening contacts in the fields of education, science and culture, and tourism.
