YEREVAN, July 3. /ARКА/. The National Assembly of Armenia adopted in the second and final reading at an extraordinary session on Thursday a bill on imposing fines for traveling on Yerevan public transport without paying or with someone else's discounted ticket.
In particular, amendments were made to the RA Law "On Automobile Transport".

Pecuniary sanctions
As Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia Armen Simonyan stated earlier, if a citizen refuses to pay and does not want to undergo identification, he may be subject to administrative detention within the framework of the procedures established by law and bear administrative liability.
According to the bill, it is proposed to establish fines in the amount of 3, 10 and 15 thousand drams for various violations.
Thus, a fine of 3 thousand drams is provided for non-validation of a ticket or media at the time of boarding transport, 10 thousand drams - for using transport without paying for travel, 15 thousand drams - for using someone else's discounted ticket. If there was a technical failure, and the carrier was unable to validate the travel media, in this case, administrative liability will not be applied.
