Armenian agriculture ministry asks greenhouse owners to take action to protect their plants

Armenian ministry of agriculture has called today on all owners of greenhouses and farms to take action for the protection of their greenhouse crops and seed potatoes, vegetables and fruits, stored in warehouses and basements, saying a sharp drop in temperature is expected across the country in the coming days, citing the National Water Service’s forecasts.

YEREVAN, January 26. /ARKA/. Armenian ministry of agriculture has called today on all owners of greenhouses and farms to take action for the protection of their greenhouse crops and seed potatoes, vegetables and fruits, stored in warehouses and basements, saying a sharp drop in temperature is expected across the country in the coming days, citing the National Water Service’s forecasts.

According to the latest weather forecasts, on January 27 night the temperature in mountainous areas is expected to drop to 20-25 degrees below zero. In the fruit-growing Ararat valley it will drop to 12-15 degrees below zero. 

On January 28 night in the mountains the temperature is expected to fall to 30 below zero and in the Ararat valley to 15-18 degrees below zero. -0-
