Armenian-Belarusian Intergovernmental Commission will gather in Minsk on October 23 for its regular two-day session, the press office of the Armenian economy ministry reported on Tuesday.

YEREVAN, October 7. /ARKA/. Armenian-Belarusian Intergovernmental Commission will gather in Minsk on October 23 for its regular two-day session, the press office of the Armenian economy ministry reported on Tuesday. 


Stepan Sukhorenko, Belarusian ambassador to Armenia, and Karen Chshmarityan, Armenian economy minister and co-chair of the intergovernmental commission, have specified the session’s agenda. 


The minister said that the Armenian-Belarusian Intergovernmental Commission is an important platform for reconsideration of economic relations between the two countries and development of new grounds for cooperation. 


Chshmarityan also stressed the necessity of improvement of environment for Armenian and Belarusian entrepreneurs for giving a new impetus two their cooperation. 


Sukhorenko, on his side, said that sessions of the intergovernmental commission strengthen economic cooperation between the two states. 


It was arranged at the meeting that Chshmarityan will meet with particular agencies’ officials and tour enterprises as part of his visit to Belarus. 


According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, the country’s trade with Belarus for eight months of this year amounted to $22.6 million showing 31.2% year-on-year decline. ---0-----
