Armenian delegation off to Moscow to attend AtomExpo 2014

A delegation of the Armenian energy and natural resources ministry is in the Russian capital city to participate in AtomExpo 2014- the largest international forum on nuclear energy, ministry spokeswoman Lusine Harutyunyan told ARKA.
YEREVAN, June 9. / ARKA /. A delegation of the Armenian energy and natural resources ministry is in the Russian capital city to participate in AtomExpo 2014- the largest international forum on nuclear energy, ministry spokeswoman Lusine Harutyunyan told ARKA.
The sixth exhibition being held from 9 to 11 June has brought to Moscow 1,800 participants from 31 countries.
Lusine Harutyunyan said the Armenian delegation headed by minister Yervand Zakharyan, will conclude the visit to Moscow on Tuesday. She said a detailed report will be distributed after the delegation is back home.
According to Russian media reports, the plenary session will feature president of the World Nuclear Association Agneta Rising (WNA), deputy chief of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Alexander Bychkov, president of the Japan Atomic Industrial Forum Takuya Hattori and others.
The agenda will include financing for construction of nuclear power plants, international legal regulations for the nuclear energy sector, experience in handling spent nuclear fuel and radioactive waste.
The exhibition will feature suppliers of equipment and services, construction companies, IT and consulting companies and special media. The exhibitors include Russia's Rosatom and its branches, as well as Rolls-Roys, Electicite de France and others. The annual event's organizer is Rosatom. The first forum was organized in 2009. -0-
