Armenian government approves agreement on unified system of customs transit of goods of EEU members and third countries

YEREVAN, March 14. /ARKA/. The Armenian government approved an agreement on a unified system of customs transit of goods from the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) member states and third countries at a session on Thursday.

The agreement is expected to create a unified system of customs declaration, ensure the application of a universal system of payment of security customs duties (for example, for alcoholic products), payment of taxes, anti-dumping and other duties, ensure the application of simplified customs control regimes for authorized customs operators, as well as the use of navigation seals for tracking cargoes.

According to the Armenian government website, companies will be able to undergo the same procedures and enjoy the same benefits not only in their own country, but also throughout the EEU.

The agreement must be approved by the Constitutional Court and then by the parliament. --0--
