Armenian government approves its program of activities for 2021-2026

YEREVAN, November 18. /ARKA/. The government of Armenia has approved today its program of activity designed for 2021-2026.
Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan said the program consists of 439 main goals and 1,276 measures, which were developed based on the instructions of the government, election promises made during the snap parliamentary election campaign by the Civil Contract party.
Grigoryan said also that the program includes obligations which Armenia is to fulfill under the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) signed with the European Union.
He said the program is in tune also with the main provisions of the strategic programs of the Eurasian Economic Union and the strategic cooperation programs approved for Armenia by other international organizations and donors. Grigoryan separately noted Armenia’s cooperation with UN, IMF and World Bank.
The program was passed by the parliament in August by a vote of 70. The parliamentary opposition boycotted the voting.
The program consists of 6 sections: security and foreign policy, economy, development of infrastructures and human capital, law and justice, and institutional development.
The debates on the program were interrupted by scuffles between the pro-government and opposition lawmakers, who hurled at each other bottles and chairs. -0-
