YEREVAN, June 19, /ARKA/. Armenian Finance Minister Atom Janjughazyan said today the government has loan agreements to the tune of $1.5 billion.
"In general, we are guided by the logic that we need to think not about repaying loans by using the collected taxes, but to use the borrowed money as effectively as possible to help secure economic growth. This is important in terms of keeping the share of loans and the degree of their influence to a minimum," he said.
According to Janjughazyan, the ministry will work to increase the efficiency of loans spending.
"We will not limit ourselves to a new loan. We will work to increase the level of loans controllability, and this will not require much effort from us," the minister said. -0-
