The Armenian government is very likely to sign a memorandum of cooperation with the board of the Eurasian Economic Commission in April, Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan said yesterday at a meeting with representatives of local media.

YEREVAN, March 19. / ARKA /. The Armenian government is very likely to sign a memorandum of cooperation with the board of the Eurasian Economic Commission in April, Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan said yesterday at a meeting with representatives of local media.

"The head of the board of the Eurasian Economic Commission is likely to visit Armenia in the first or second week of April and the Armenian government is likely to sign a memorandum of cooperation", Sargsyan said.

He also said that next week a delegation of the European Union will visit Armenia to complete the negotiations over the remaining chapter of the Association Agreement between EU and Armenia.

The Eurasian Economic Commission was set up by the decision of the presidents of the Russian Federation, Belarus and Kazakhstan in late 2011 as a single permanent governing body of the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space. It is a supranational body not subject to any of the governments of the three countries. The Commission's decisions are binding in the three countries. Its main objective is to ensure functioning and development of the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space. -0-
