Armenian government's social welfare spending and the amount meant for human capital development for 2020 has been increased by about 13%, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a press conference in Kapan on Saturday.

KAPAN, January 25. /ARKA/.Armenian government's social welfare spending and the amount meant for human capital development for 2020 has been increased by about 13%, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a press conference in Kapan on Saturday.
In particular, the social security budget is 20% higher compared with 2017, by 18% when compared with 2018 and by 11%, when compared with 2019, amounting to 492 billion drams.
He further said that the healthcare budget, compared with 2017 has increased by 37%, by 43%, when compared with 2018 and by 24% compared with 2019, amounting to 113.7 billion drams.
Education sector's budget compared to 2017 increased by 30%, compared with 2018 - by 32%, and by 14% when compared with 2019, amounting to 161.1 billion drams," he said.
Armenian government's budget for 2020 projects a 4.9% growth. The projected inflation rate is 4% (± 1.5%). The government will have to collect 1.69 trillion drams in revenue and spend 1.85 trillion drams. The projected budget deficit is 160.7 billion drams. ($1 - 478.87 drams). -0-
