Armenian ministry of health purchased drugs worth a total of 1.2bln drams for the first half of 2013, the press service of the ministry reported.

YEREVAN, February 15. ARKA/. Armenian ministry of health purchased drugs worth a total of 1.2bln drams for the first half of 2013, the press service of the ministry reported.
According to the report, antidiabetic agents cost a total of 652mln drams, drugs for patients with chronic kidney disease 278mln drams, psychotropic agents 154mln drams, antineoplastic drugs 59mln drams and other medication was 44mln drams.
In six months the saving made in drug procurement process was 283,950,930drams as compared to 2012 contract amounts, 226,236,540drams compared to 2013 cost-estimate and 1,403,798,860drams compared to 2013 market prices, according to the report. -0-
