In her words, this money is used for creation of new jobs in Armenia, and the South Caucasus Railway is ready not only to create new jobs, but also to invest in upgrading its specialists' qualification.

«Large investments have been made,» Naghdalyan said. «A number of new machines and up-to-date equipment which is missing in the region's country but Armenia were shown to us. It means Armenia gets an opportunity to carry out certain volumes of work for neighboring countries, particularly Georgia.»

Naghdalyan thanked the company’s employees for their work. Along with achievements, she also pointed out faults.

Russian Ambassador to Armenia Ivan Volinkin, on his side, called it a very important achievement that the South Caucasus Railway is already repairing its locomotives in Armenia.

«This lessens cost price of the work and enhances its effectiveness,» he said. «The South Caucasus Railway's strategy is very correct. I am convinced that the company will overcome objective difficulties and will build up its capacity.»
