Armenian president discussed cooperation with Vertex Venture Holdings, Swiss Sustainable Finance and Siemens Financial Services

Armenian President Armen Sarkissian had today a working meeting in Geneva with the leaders of Singapore's Vertex Venture Holdings, Swiss Sustainable Finance as well as Siemens Financial Services, which is part of the German Siemens, Sarkissian’s press service reported.
YEREVAN, October 23 /ARKA/. Armenian President Armen Sarkissian had today a working meeting in Geneva with the leaders of Singapore's Vertex Venture Holdings, Swiss Sustainable Finance as well as Siemens Financial Services, which is part of the German Siemens, Sarkissian’s press service reported.
It said Sarkissian spoke about Armenia’s investment environment and the prospects for expanding cooperation in various fields. Issues of mutually beneficial cooperation with these companies were discussed.
In particular, an agreement was reached that leaders of some companies will pay visits to Armenia to look into cooperation chances. The President focused on the most rapidly developing and promising sectors of the Armenian economy. He said Armenia as a member of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), may become a key hub between the EU and the EEU countries.
Vertex Venture Holdings is a global venture capital fund that mainly focuses on venture capital investment opportunities in IT and healthcare sectors.
Swiss Sustainable Finance brings together 110 member companies and partners, including Swiss banks. Its activities are consonant with the idea of "clean economy" and the development of a clean industry.
A wide range of cooperation in the fields of energy, industry and infrastructures was discussed with Siemens Financial Services, in particular, it was noted that Armenia, as a member of the EEU, could become a bridge to Eurasian markets.
Armen Sarkissian is visiting Switzerland October 22-25 to participate in the Sixth World Investment Forum 2018, organized by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) in Geneva and in another international forum Crans Montana. -0-
