Armenian prime minister and EEC Board chairman discuss cooperation

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received today the chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Board Mikhail Myasnikovich, who arrived in Yerevan on his first official visit.
YEREVAN, February 7. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received today the chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Board Mikhail Myasnikovich, who arrived in Yerevan on his first official visit.
The Armenian government press service said Pashinyan congratulated Myasnikovich on assuming the new post and wished him effective and fruitful work.
The Armenian Prime Minister expressed hope that the EEC, led by Myasnikovich will give a new push to the development of trade and economic ties within the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).
Myasnikovich thanked Pashinyan for supporting his candidacy as head of the EEC Board and assured that his work will justify the trust shown by the leaders of the EEU member countries.
During the meeting, the two men discussed strategic directions for the development of Eurasian economic integration until 2025, approaches to removing existing barriers, exemptions and restrictions.
Pashinyan noted the importance of increasing the trade within the EEU and formation of a single energy market.
Mikhail Myasnikovich, representing Belarus, took up the chairmanship of the EEC Board in February 2020, replacing Armenia's representative Tigran Sargsyan.
Armenia became a full member of the EEU in January 2, 2015. Currently, the organization also includes Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. -0-
