YEREVAN, 3 October. /ARKA/. Armenia is considering opening a Trade House in Kazakhstan's Almaty.
This issue was discussed at a meeting of Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan and Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Armenia Bolat Imanbayev in Yerevan on Thursday.

  The parties discussed the prospects of bilateral economic cooperation, investment opportunities, especially in the field of food security and agro-processing, which is supposed to contribute to the attraction of private investments and development of production capacities, the press service of the Ministry of Economy reported.

The sides also touched upon the organisation of B2B meetings with representatives of business circles in order to expand trade and economic relations.

According to the National Statistical Committee of Armenia, the trade turnover between Armenia and Kazakhstan exceeded $100 million at the end of last year.

Exports from Armenia to Kazakhstan increased 3.8 times to $71.32 million, while imports increased by 23.6 per cent to almost $29.2 million.-0-
