Artak Barseghyan appointed as executive director of Yerevan brandy company

Artak Barseghyan has been appointed as executive director of the French-owned Yerevan Brandy Company (YBC). Before this new position he had worked since 2009 as executive director of Pernod Ricard Kazakhstan, the YBC said.

YEREVAN, January 10. / ARKA /. Artak Barseghyan has been appointed as executive director of the French-owned Yerevan Brandy Company (YBC). Before this new position he had worked since 2009 as executive director of Pernod Ricard Kazakhstan, the YBC said.

He has replaced Ara Grigoryan, who was promoted as vice-president of Pernod Ricard Eastern Europe. Grigoryan will continue to head also Pernod Ricard Minsk combining his new job with the position of board chairman of the Yerevan Brandy Company.

Artak Barseghyan was born in 1969 in Yerevan. He is a graduate of the Yerevan Institute of National Economy. He held various posts with YBC since 1998. In 2001, he was appointed financial and administrative director of Pernod Ricard Ukraine. 

Since September 2009 he headed Pernod Ricard Kazakhstan.

Yerevan Brandy Factory, founded in 1887, was sold to French Pernod Ricard in 1998 for $30 million. -0-
