Average monthly gross wage in May was 183,516 drams

The average gross monthly wage in Armenia in May 2015 was 0.9% higher from the previous month standing at 183,516 drams ($382 or 19,277 Russian rubles), the National Statistical Service (NSS) said today.

YEREVAN, July 2. / ARKA /. The average gross monthly wage in Armenia in May 2015 was 0.9% higher from the previous month standing at 183,516 drams ($382 or 19,277 Russian rubles), the National Statistical Service (NSS) said today.
In April the average gross monthly wage was 181,927 drams, by 1.1% more than in March 2015 and by 12.6% more than in April 2014.
The highest average monthly gross wage in April 2015 was reported by the southern Syunik region - 207,700 drams and the lowest was in Aragatsotn region - 124,200 drams. In Yerevan, it was 198,100 drams.
In April 2015 , the highest gross salaries were boasted by information and communications sectors- 409,500 drams, financial and insurance sectors -380,900 drams and the mining industry- 335,700 drams.
The lowest paid jobs were in the education sector -115,900 drams, culture, entertainment and recreation – 116,400 drams and hotels and catering - 119,800 drams. ($ 1 - 472.45 drams). --0-
