Boeing will help Armenia in developing aviation, the Armenian government's press office reported on Wednesday after Hovik Abrahamyan, the country's prime minister, met with Mher Papyan and Maks Nilov, representatives of Boeing.

YEREVAN, August 12. /ARKA/. Boeing will help Armenia in developing aviation, the Armenian government's press office reported on Wednesday after Hovik Abrahamyan, the country's prime minister, met with Mher Papyan and Maks Nilov, representatives of Boeing.
Armenian aviation development prospects were discussed at the meeting.
In particular, the Boeing representatives, speaking about the results of their study of Armenian aviation market, said that the Armenian government's open sky policy has produced a positive effect, thanks to which favorable business environment shaped.
Some proposals aimed at enhancement of competitiveness and establishment of local air companies along with issues related to prices were discussed at the meeting as well.
The premier thanked the representatives of Boeing for effective cooperation and consulting.
In October 2013, the Armenian government embarked on the open sky policy or the program of ensuring competitive conditions for providers of air services.
The program is based on the results of a joint study of McKinsey & Company and the National Competitiveness Foundation of Armenia. ---0----
