Citizens of EEU countries may work in all states of the union

YEREVAN, April 5. /ARKA/. Citizens of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) member countries (Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia) have the right to work in any of the five countries and the restrictions imposed to protect their national labor markets will not apply to them.

They do not need to obtain permits to perform labor activities, according to the website eec.eaeunion.org.

The single EEU labor market has been functioning since 2015. Its existence means that EEU citizens can stay in any member state without registration for up to 30 days from the date of entry.

When staying for more than 30 days, they must undergo the registration procedure in accordance with the legislation of the state of entry, if such an obligation is established. In general, they are given 90 days to find a job.

Also, the single labor market of the EEU gives citizens of member countries a number of advantages such as recognition of education documents issued in the EEU member countries; paying as much tax as a citizen of the country of employment; the right of the worker's family to reside in the country of his/her employment.

The advantages also include he right of the worker's children to receive education in the country of employment; free emergency medical care for the worker and family members; medical care for the worker under mandatory health insurance scheme on the same conditions as nationals of the country of employment and compulsory insurance in case of temporary disability. -0-
