YEREVAN, February 6. /ARKA/. Companies with Russian participation play a significant, systemically important role in Armenia's economy. This was stated by Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin in an interview with Rossiya 24.
The diplomat emphasized that Russia remains Armenia's leading trade, economic, and investment partner.
"Companies with Russian participation play a very significant, systemically important, and I would even say, role in the Armenian economy, and are among the leading taxpayers in the budget of the Republic of Armenia," the ambassador noted.
He added that the countries have always been united by spiritual, moral, cultural, and interpersonal ties.
"For example, Russians remain the largest tourist contingent to the Republic of Armenia," Kopyrkin said.
