Armenian construction industry ups by 18.5% in the first half of the year to 224.9 billion drams

YEREVAN, August 8. /ARKA/. According to the National Statistical Committee, the volume of construction in Armenia from January to June of 2025 amounted to 224,871.5 million drams (in current prices), 18.5% higher than in the same period in 2024.
In June 2025, the figure was 59,408.2 million drams, a 22.6% increase from June of last year.
Construction financed by the state budget amounted to 46,447.1 million drams, accounting for 20.6% of the total construction volume (an increase of 13.8% compared to the first half of 2024).
Construction financed by public funds amounted to 8.3 billion drams (3.7% of the total, up 11.8%), construction financed by humanitarian aid amounted to 634 million drams (0.3% of the total, a 57% decrease), and the volume financed by organizations was 10.9 billion drams (48.6% of the total, a 22.3% increase).
From January to June, the volume of construction financed by international loans amounted to 14,091.0 million drams (6.3% of the total volume), which is 9.7% less than in the same period last year.
Of these loans, the World Bank financed construction to the tune of 872.3 million drams, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development financed 1.2939 billion drams worth construction, the European Investment Bank - 518.2 million drams, the Asian Development Bank - 4.41 billion drams, the German Development Bank - 781.6 million drams, and other structures financed 6.2141 billion drams worth construction.-0-.
