Construction volume in Armenia in January 2026 amounted to 22,262.0 million drams (at current prices), an increase of 18.7% compared to January 2025, according to the Statistical Committee.

YEREVAN, March 10. /ARKA/. Construction volume in Armenia in January 2026 amounted to 22,262.0 million drams (at current prices), an increase of 18.7% compared to January 2025, according to the Statistical Committee.

The largest volume of construction in the reporting month was financed by organizations – 13.4 billion drams, or 60.4% of the total (an increase of 15.8% compared to January 2025). The volume of construction financed by the population amounted to 6.9 billion drams (a 31.1% share, an increase of 39.7%), while that financed by the state budget amounted to 1.3 billion drams (a 5.9% share, a decrease of 23.8%), while community funds accounted for 495.8 million drams (a 2.2% share, an increase of 11.5%) and humanitarian aid funds accounted for 86.8 million drams (a 0.4% share, an increase of 2.3 times).

Moreover, the volume of construction financed by international loans in January amounted to 52.9 million drams, or 0.2% of the total, a decrease of 89.2% compared to January of the previous year. Of these international loans, the German Development Bank accounted for 51.9 million drams, while other institutions accounted for 1.0 million drams. Most of the construction work was carried out in the line of activities related to real estate (volume - 14.5 billion drams, share in the total structure - 64.9%), provision of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (volume - 2.02 billion drams, share - 9.1%), as well as wholesale and retail trade, repair of cars and motorcycles (volume - 666.1 million drams, share - 3%).
