Consumer prices up 1% in Armenia in November

Consumer prices in Armenia rose 1 percent in November 2019, compared to November 2018, the National Statistical Committee reports. They went 1.5% up in Jan-Nov, compared with the same period a year earlier.

YEREVAN, December 6. /ARKA/. Consumer prices in Armenia rose 1 percent in November 2019, compared to November 2018, the National Statistical Committee reports. They went 1.5% up in Jan-Nov, compared with the same period a year earlier.
According to the statistical report, prices for foods and soft drinks added 0.5% and in Jan-Nov, compared with the same period a year before, they grew 2.1%.
Spirits and tobacco products climbed 4.4% in November, and 4.3% in Jan-Nov 2019, compared with the same period of the previous year.
Clothes and shoes rose 0.3% (4%) and utilities services 1.1% (0.4%). Healthcare services reported 1.7% and 2% growth respectively, transport sector 1.9% and 0.8%, education 3.7% and 2%, hotel and restaurant businesses 1.8% and 1.9% and retail trade and services 0.7% and 0.5%.
Instead, communication services became 0.1% cheaper in November 2019, compared with November 2018, and 0.4% cheaper in Jan-Nov 2019, compared with the same period a year earlier. In the culture and leisure sector 1.2% and 2% were reported respectively.
In the 2019 government budget, economic growth is projected at 4.9% and inflation at 2.7%. --0---
