YEREVAN, March 4. /ARKA/. Creation of just and competitive environment in Armenia is among the top-priority objectives of the country’s government, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said Tuesday when presenting Armenia’s National Competitiveness Report for 2013 and 2014.

“We have not reached this so far. This problem is pointed out in the Report along with other problems, and I think this is the priority number one to our government”, he said.

Sargsyan remembered that when the government’s program was presented to the National Assembly in 2013, Armenian lawmakers proposed the Cabinet members themselves to choose successful implementation criteria and indicate advantages and faults of this program.

“We have come to a conclusion that if we manage to reach significant and visible success in creation of a just and competitive environment, we will have a right to say that we have fulfilled our main five-year mission, and if no – this will be the failure of the governmental program,” he said.

The premier stressed that competitive environment with equal conditions to all is the motivating influence of the economy.

“The economic system’s propeller is equal conditions for all economic entities, and impacts these conditions have on economic indicators are far stronger than all other factors’ influence,” he said stressing the importance of cooperation between public and private sectors in searching solutions to this problem. -0---
