DFA and Prime Media Group sign cooperation memorandum

The head of the Development Foundation of Armenia (DFA) Armen Avak Avakyan and the chairman of the Indian Prime Media Group company Anish Ghandi, who is also a member of the delegation of the Confederation of Indian Industrialists, visiting Armenia, signed a memorandum of understanding at the Armenian-Indian business forum on Thursday.

YEREVAN, September 28. /ARKA/. The head of the Development Foundation of Armenia (DFA) Armen Avak Avakyan and the chairman of the Indian Prime Media Group company Anish Ghandi, who is also a member of the delegation of the Confederation of Indian Industrialists, visiting Armenia, signed a memorandum of understanding at the Armenian-Indian business forum on Thursday.

"All possible projects and opportunities that will be created today are important to us. The Development Foundation of Armenia, like the representatives of the companies present at this forum, is looking for real business opportunities and contacts. We believe that cooperation between Armenia and India can be productive and give different advantages to both sides when operating in other markets," Avak Avakyan said.

According to Gandhi, Armenia and India can cooperate successfully in such areas as energy, textile industry, agriculture, information technology, tourism. He said Indian companies show interest in investing in high-tech platforms, information technology and solar energy in Armenia.

Yogeshwar Sangwan, the ambassador of India to Armenia, who attended the signing of the memorandum, noted that such business forums accelerate the development of economic cooperation between Armenia and India.

"During the visit of vice president Mohammad Hamid to Armenia, he had a meeting with Armenian prime minister Karen Karapetyan, where the emphasis was put on cooperation in the field of precious stones, watchmaking and agriculture.  At the same time, I want to say that India is open for cooperation with Armenia in all possible spheres," the ambassador said. -0-
