At a meeting on Wednesday, the Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia approved the water supply prices for ‘’Veolia Jur’’ CJSC subscribers for 2025.
Drinking water prices in Armenia to remain unchanged in 2025

YEREVAN, November 27. /ARKA/. At a meeting on Wednesday, the Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia approved the water supply prices for ‘’Veolia Jur’’ CJSC subscribers for 2025.

In accordance with the regulator's decision, the water price for unprotected consumers will remain at 180 drams, while for other categories it will be 200.42 drams per cubic meter.

Meanwhile, in the price adjustment application submitted by ‘’Veolia Jur’’ in August 2024, it was proposed to maintain the current actual price for unprotected consumers at 180 drams, while increasing it to 205.99 drams for other subscribers.

Today's decision by the Public ServicesRegulatory Commission notes that, as a result of the monitoring conducted, it was found that the additional volume of water supplied to subscribers amounted to 438,387 cubic meters, which positively impacted the price, reducing it by 0.4 drams per cubic meter. 

About State Support

On March 28 of this year, the Armenian government granted subsidies of 1.1 billion drams to ‘’Veolia Djur’’ CJSC to ensure that, in 2024, the prices for drinking water and wastewater treatment services for retail consumers remain unchanged.

About the Water Supply Operator

‘’Veolia Jur’’ CJSC, a subsidiary of the French company Veolia Generale des Eaux, is the sole operator of water supply and wastewater services in Yerevan and several regions of Armenia.  Under the terms of its license, ‘’Veolia Jur’’ is entitled to initiate an annual price revision. ($1 = 390.88 drams)
