EBRD President says Armenian authorities should encourage investments
YEREVAN, September 8. /ARKA/. In an online press briefing with journalists from the three South Caucasian countries ahead of her first regional visit, the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Odile Renaud-Basso urged Armenian authorities to encourage investments to ensure economic growth
When asked by ARKA news agency what exactly should be done for this purpose, Renaud-Basso said: "Encourage investment. Create an environment conducive to this, reduce the costs of launching projects, and develop infrastructure".
The economic growth projection in Armenian government's medium-term expenditure program for 2023-2023 is set at 7%, the budget deficit at 2.5-2.7% of GDP. The inflation is set at 4% (±1.5%). Another goal is to reduce the government debt-to-GDP ratio to 55-56% by 2025. -0-.
