Economic activity in Armenia grew by 8.3% in 11 months
YEREVAN, December 25. /ARKA/. Preliminary data indicates that Armenia's economic activity grew by 8.3% in January-November 2025 compared to the same period in 2024, as reported by the Statistical Committee.
Additionally, in November of this year, economic activity rose by 10.4% compared to November of the previous year, although it saw a slight decline of 0.9% compared to September of this year.
Industrial output for the first 11 months reached 2,810,197.1 million drams, reflecting a 0.5% increase from the same timeframe in 2024. In November, the annual growth was 31.7%, with a monthly increase of 12.8%.
The construction sector experienced a significant rise of 20.1% during the reporting period compared to last year, totaling 644,590.2 million drams. November saw a year-on-year growth of 17.2% and a month-on-month increase of 4.3%.
Domestic trade turnover hit 5,965,235.5 million drams, marking a 3% increase over the same period last year. In November, the year-on-year growth was 1.5%, while the month-on-month growth was 5.9%.
According to statistics, the service sector (excluding trade) for January-November 2025 reached 3,690,004.5 million drams, which is 10.9% higher than the same period in 2024. In November, year-on-year growth was 11.2%, and month-on-month growth was 2.3%.
Armenia's economic growth is projected at 5.1% in the 2025 state budget and 5.4% in 2026. The Central Bank anticipates Armenia's GDP growth to be between 5.9-5.9% by the end of 2025, 6.3-4.1% in 2026, and 4.9-5.3% in 2027, depending on the scenario (A-B).
Forecasts from international financial institutions for Armenia's economic growth include: EDB - 6% in 2025 and 5.3% in 2026; WB - 5.2% in 2025 and 4.9% in 2026; IMF - 5% in 2025 and 5.5% in 2026; EBRD – 5% in 2025 and 4.5% in 2026; ADB – 6%.-0-
