Economic activity in Armenia saw a 7% increase over a span of 7 months.
YEREVAN, August 25. /ARKA/. As per preliminary data, the economic activity for Armenia during January to July 2025 recorded a 7% rise compared to the same seven months in 2024, according to the National Statistical Committee.
Additionally, in July of this year, the economic activity rose by 9.1% compared to July of the previous year, and by 5.5% compared to June of the current year.
For the period of January to July, the industrial output reached 1,501,748.3 million drams, reflecting a decrease of 9.8% compared to January to July 2024. However, in July, there was a 4.2% increase year-on-year, and a 7.4% increase month-on-month.
The construction volume for the reporting period increased by 20.2% compared to the same period last year, totaling 293,301.8 million drams. In July, an annual growth of 26.1% was noted, along with a monthly growth of 15.2%.
Simultaneously, the turnover of domestic trade reached 3,539,964.0 million drams, which is 3.9% higher than the figure for the same period last year. In July, the growth was 3.8% year-on-year, and 8.4% month-on-month.
According to statistics, the service sector (excluding trade) amounted to 2,176,542.4 million drams, representing a 10.6% increase compared to the same period in 2024. In July, the annual growth was 11.1%, and for the month, it was 1.8%.
The economic growth in the state budget for 2025 is projected at 5.1%.-0-
