YEREVAN, June 9. /ARKA/. The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) forecasts that consumer price growth in Armenia will remain close to the target range of the Central Bank of the Republic.

“Inflation in Armenia amounted to 4.3% y/y in May after 3.2% y/y in April. The acceleration is due to an increase in food prices (+7.4% y/y in May after 5.2% y/y a month earlier), services (+3.1% y/y in May after 2.7% y/y a month earlier), as well as a decrease in deflation in the non-food segment (-0.1% y/y in May after -0.5% y/y in April a month earlier),” the EDB weekly macro review says.

According to Armstat, 12-month inflation in the consumer market of Armenia in May of this year was 4.3%, while in May compared to April, inflation was 0.3%, and in January-May 2025 compared to the same period in 2024, prices increased by 3%. Inflation is set at 3% (±1%) in the state budget of Armenia for 2025. -0-
