Armenia's economy will grow by 5.5% in 2025 thanks to the continued expansion of trade, services and construction sectors, according to the weekly macroeconomic forecast of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB).
YEREVAN, February 3. /ARKA/. Armenia's economy will grow by 5.5% in 2025 thanks to the continued expansion of trade, services and construction sectors, according to the weekly macroeconomic forecast of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB).
“Economic activity in Armenia increased by 8.0% in January-December 2024.Growth was mainly driven by the services (+10.6% y/y), trade (+17.0% y/y) and construction (+14.5% y/y) sectors, the survey said.
It said in December, the decline in the industrial sector (-14.8% y/y) persisted due to the exhaustion of the positive effect of the increase in foreign trade and precious metals processing.
Armenia's economic growth is set at 5.1% in the 2025 budget. -0-
