YEREVAN, March 24. /ARKA/. The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) expects that the cycle of reducing the refinancing rate in Armenia has concluded, following the stabilization of inflation within the target range set by the Central Bank of Armenia (3±1%). This is mentioned in the bank's weekly macro review.
On March 18, the Board of the Central Bank of Armenia concluded the current cycle of reducing the refinancing rate, leaving it unchanged at 6.75% for the first time since June 2023.
"In February, inflation approached the middle of the target range, standing at 2.5% year-on-year. External factors exert weak pro-inflationary pressure on the Armenian economy, contributing to moderate price dynamics," the report states.
