Electric vehicles imported to Armenia before January 31, 2026, will be exempt from VAT, announced RA Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan.
YEREVAN, December 17. /ARKA/. Electric vehicles imported to Armenia before January 31, 2026, will be exempt from VAT, announced RA Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan.
"Yesterday, a bill was submitted to the National Assembly that provides for a 20% VAT exemption for the import of electric vehicles," he said live on his Facebook page.
According to Papoyan, any electric vehicle, regardless of its production date, imported to Armenia before January 31, 2026, will be exempt from VAT.
The minister also announced that from February 1 to December 31, 2026, electric vehicles manufactured in 2024, 2025, and 2026 will be exempt from VAT.
