Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) forecasts inflation in Armenia at an average of 3.3% in 2026-2028
ALMATY, December 18. /ARKA/. Inflation in Armenia will remain within the Central Bank's target range (3±1%) in 2026-2028, averaging 3.3% annually, according to Alexey Kuznetsov, Head of the EDB's Analytical Directorate.
"This will be facilitated by the stable exchange rate of the dram and the economy's return to long-term growth rates," Kuznetsov said.
According to the EDB's forecast for 2026-2028, inflationary factors will include strong external demand, sustainable household consumption, and rising global food prices in the medium term.
According to Armstat, the 12-month inflation in the Armenian consumer market in November of this year was 3.1%.
Armenia's 2025 state budget projects inflation at 3% (±1%). According to the Central Bank, inflation in Armenia is expected to be 3.6-3.6% by the end of 2025, depending on scenarios (A-B), with a forecast of 3.8-2.6% for 2026 and 3.3-2.8% for 2027.
The World Bank expects inflation in Armenia to be 3.5% in 2025 and 4% in 2026. The IMF forecasts prices to rise by 3.3% in 2025 and 3% in 2026. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) forecasts inflation to be 2.5% in 2025. The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) expects it to be 3.1% by the end of this year. -0-
